Sony Reveals 9.1 Megapixel Cyber-shot HX1 Camera

cyber-shot-hx1-frontPositioned as the new flagship model in the Sony Cyber-shot range, the Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 digital camera offers “extraordinary image quality plus high-speed shooting.”

At the heart of the Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 is a 9.1 effective Megapixel ‘Exmor’ CMOS sensor for high-speed shooting and reduced image noise.

Continuous shooting

The technology, says Sony, delivers high speed continuous shooting up to 10 frames per second at full 9.1 Megapixel (3,456 x 2,592) resolution.

A ‘Sweep Panorama’ mode captures extra-wide landscapes at breathtaking speed and detail, while the new ‘G’ Lens boasts a 20x optical zoom and 28mm wide angle. Optical SteadyShot ensures crisp, clear images.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 digital camera is also the first of the Cyber-shot models that can record 1080/30p Full HD movie clips.

Sony’s Bravia Sync technology can displays the camera’s playback screen on a Bravia TV screen, allowing control of slideshow, zoom, image index and other functions using the remote control.

The Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 goes on sale in April.
