Its good to see toshiba finally venturing into the LED backlighting area with the SV models, the benefits they provide such as really high Dynamic Contrast Ratio’s and lower energy consumption makes them in my oprinnion the future of LCD televisions.

The new Regza TVs sound fantastic - a possible replacement for our 42″ Toshiba LCD if it ever goes bust, or can afford one to go in the lounge!

Reading up on the Metabrain technology, it’s a good idea which I’m surprised other manufacturers haven’t taken on-board. Whilst many people with HD TVs have some sort of HD source to show off their panel, many people (including myself) watch SD Freeview, which can look blocky and pixelated on larger screens. Look forward to seeing one of these in a store near me!
